Many hotels in Bogota are still stuck to a corporate mold but the BOG Hotel Bogota is changing things up. Located in the posh Zona Rosa district, the hotel takes its design cues from the city’s famed Museo del Oro.
Plenty of gold, emerald and glitz are tempered out by neutral grays and browns, thanks to the fastidious eye of Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva. The hotel’s 55 suites are similarly decorated and include 500-thread-count sheets and oversized showers complete with gold tiles and three shower heads.
The hotel has become a somewhat of a social beacon of the area and no where is more popular than the roof top deck and pool, with its stunning wrap around views. A more sedate choice is the ground floor restaurant, La Leo, serves contemporary Columbian fusion.
