The Shopping Diaries

Thrifting is a true addiction of mine. I will actually start dreaming about thrifting when I haven’t gotten the chance to go in a while. Fortunately I live extremely close to a great Salvation Army so I can keep the pangs at bay fairly easily. I am always interested to see what other people have dug up at their thrift stores so I thought maybe people would be interested in seeing my scores as well. So here it is, the first in a new series:

Coach bag, $30 (I gave this to my mom)

Faceted bud vase, $1. It’s really little but I love it. It seems very Jonathan Adler to me.

Jeffrey Campbell sandals, $7 (I don’t have any problems buying used shoes but they must be in good shape!)

Grey JNBY belt with tags, $12

Also, I have to say a word about this because it is just so great (it’s definitely not thrifted). I picked up the Sweater Stone by The Laundress from Lark here on Main St. I was a little skeptical at first but I figured it couldn’t be any worse than the mediocre sweater defuzzer I had bought in the past. And it works perfectly! It’s actually incredibly satisfying to use and does a fantastic job. Now I am looking for pilled things just so I can sweater stone them back to new. Amazing.
