I love Florence and the Machine. Stylistically this is something of a departure from what I usually listen to but it’s always good to mix things up right? Those strong ethereal vocals just get to me. Had a rough Valentine’s Day? Consider this your morning after pick me up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr5mtKSbd7M I rarely come across music that makes me wish I had created it (please note I am not musically trained at all) but Purity Ring gives me those wishy sort of feelings. This is just so pretty and elegant and just a little crunchy. I like these guys a whole lot. Follow Callooh Callay on // Pinterest // Twitter // Facebook // Instagram
I love music that comes with a good story and this has a particularly good one: a 1983 record discovered in an Edmonton flea market by a person that no one can seem to track down, containing ethereal vocals and soothing synths. In other words, a match made in hipster music blogger heaven. Give it a listen. It’s truly enchanting.
